CARING FOR YOUR FLOORS
Wood Floor Care
Investing in taking proper care of your wood floors will help protect and prolong the wood floor. A cleaning routine will help you prevent scratches and dents.

Maintain a comfortable environment and temperatures (NO humidity).

Dust daily to prevent dirt from scratching the floor.

Weekly cleaning with a microfiber rag and neutral pH, non-toxic, and biodegradable cleaner formula to clean effectively. (Note: too much water will damage flooring, and vinegar can eat away the finish)

Sweeping is not recommended- Instead dust with a microfiber rag or dust mop.

Trim pets’ nails so they do not scratch the floor.

Do not wear high heels as they can scratch and dent the floor.

Use felt or rubber pads so furniture does not scratch or dent the floors.
Laminate Floor Care
Investing in taking proper care of your laminate floors will help protect the laminate floor increasing it's life and beauty:

Do not use steam cleaners or jet mops.

Use rugs in high traffic areas to reduce wear, dirt, and moisture.

Trim pets’ nails so they don’t scratch the floor.

Use a specific cleaner made for wood and/ or laminate flooring. (Caution with water, as it may damage laminate flooring.)

Sweep your floors at least once a week to help prevent scratching.

Prevent scratches and scuffs by using felt or rubber tips on your furniture.
Tile Floor Care
Glazed Ceramics and Porcelain
Glass Tiles
Natural Stone Tiles
Investing in taking proper care of your tile floors will help protect the tile floor increasing it's life and beauty:

Maintain cleaning frequently to minimize build of residue to keep the tile clean and not slippery.

Use a soapless neutral pH cleaner or water on glazed ceramics and porcelain tiles.

Follow with water and microfiber towel to ensure there is no film residue .

Spilled liquids might stain light colored tile.

DO NOT USE acid cleaner or sealer on American Olean glazed ceramic or porcelain tile.

Clean with a glass cleaner and lint-free cloth.

To remove soap scum and/ or water deposits use a minimally abrasive cleanser and soft bristle brush.

Before cleaning dampen the stone with clear water as this helps the cleaning solution stay on the surface.

Use a neutral pH cleanser with a sponge or mop frequently to remove dirt so it does not scratch the natural stone.

DO NOT USE BLEACH OR ACID as this will damage the natural stone
Vinyl Floor Care
Investing in taking proper care of your vinyl floors will help protect the vinyl floor increasing it's life and beauty:

DO NOT expose to direct sunlight as it can damage and fade your vinyl flooring.

Keeping the floors clean are easy with vinyl. Sweep and mop frequently and easily wipe up spills.

Put felt or rubber pads on furniture so they don't scratch the vinyl flooring.
